The baskets are located on a backboard at each end of the basketball court and are elevated 10 feet above the ground. The free-throw line is 15 feet from the face of the backboard. The distance of the three-point line varies depending on the level of basketball being played. High school = 19 feet, 9 inches. NCAA = 20 feet, 9 inches.
